i was going to write a conventional “new album” post, but i came across this video and i couldn’t help myself.
this is an a capella cover of the song “maps” performed by rocco, baby puddin’, tony, ern, and gloria.
the new album, it’s blitz will be out in…
digital- march 10th in the us, march 9th worldwide.
stores- march 31st in the us, and april 6th worldwide.

76 days and counting. april 17th, 18th, and 19th envelope a weekend of amazing music and beautiful california weather. to list a few of my favorites who will be performing: the cure! morrissey, mike motha fuckin patton and rahzel! fleet foxes, beirut, the yeah yeah yeahs, franz ferdinand, conor oberst, the black keys, crystal castles, late of the pier, band of horses, liars, amanda palmer, and of course the timeless sir james paul mccartney. and shepard fairey, artist and creator of the obey epidemic will be there as well. plus many many more!

the yeah yeah yeahs recently announced that they are “currently writing and recording another record,” and “throwing cow dung at each other.”
apparently making music causes them to do strange things, but if you know them then this is not much of a surprise.
there is no release date or track list yet, but stay tuned and i’ll let you know.
