here is a sneak peak at the new weezer album unofficially dubbed, “the red album,” to be released june 24th.

i haven’t formed an official opinion on this album. i’m going to wait til it’s out and i hear the whole thing.

weezer’s new album, title and date

weezer has announced the name and release date of their new album. the title will be… “weezer.” this will be their third self-titled album, and third to be referred to as a color. but what color is the question? the date for the new album is june 17th.

rivers has said about the new songs as being,

“dark and deep and beautiful,” and “definitely more sophisticated and adventurous. You’ll hear very long songs … and non-traditional structures.”

i just hope it’s better that their last album, “make believe.” i think it was make believe that it was a good album. that thing was crap. but i’ve been a weezer fan since ’94 (the blue album), so i will give them a chance to redeem themselves for “make believe.”
