fantastic amazing news for me!
January 2, 2009

i just found out last night that one of my most favorite bands the forecast will be playing a show in the same town where my college is. i had to miss a show of their’s last year in iowa city (that i had tickets for) and i was was heart broken. this will be my first time seeing them. also, they have a new ep coming out (no date or title yet) so they will no doubt be playing some new material. you have no idea how excited i am!

a new album in the works from the forecast
May 7, 2008

the forecast are in the process of writing a new album and i couldn’t be happier. i missed the show in iowa city and i just knew that they would break up so then i’d never get to see them. i know that them writing is not a guarantee that they won’t break up, but i like to try and be optimistic. i’m going to take the new album as another chance to see them. also of course it’s new material and i love them so very much.
their drummer tony had this to say,
“YES. we are writing/demo-ing/putting together a new album! it is in the works!
YES. we want you to hear it, and you will soon!
YES. it will be a really good record! nay, and AWESOME record!
NO. it will not be edible. sorry. but it shall be tasty.
NO. it is not an Avril Lavigne tribute. but we’re glad some of you got the humor in that video. we thought it was hilarious too.”
the video he is referring to is here, and it is hilarious.

“and we all return to our roots”
“some things never change”
both of these songs are on their album “the shadow of two gunmen.” buy it on itunes or here.
also here is a video of them having a good time while making fun of one of the biggest jokes in all of music… enjoy.
