annuals released a new album entitled such fun october 7th of ’08. it is an incredible addition to their already remarkable releases. if you live in or near any of these cities do yourself a favor and go see annuals. if you’re lucky annuals’ sisterband sunfold might perform some songs or a set at the shows.

big news from annuals, more dates and new album

as i previously reported, annuals did a short 12 date tour spanning from june 4th to july 21st. well they have announced an extended tour with minus the bear consisting of 30someplus dates. the fall tour is no doubt to promote their upcoming new album! the new album titled “such fun” will be released october 7th. with the some what recent release of their split ep with sister band sunfold, and sunfold‘s debut album, “toy tugboats,” annuals has been winding me up to the point of explosion. i am super excited about their new album, as you should be too. get it as soon as it drops and you can count on a frantic, typo filled review when it comes out.

my apologies to sunfold

somehow in no doubt some delirious state i managed to overlook the release of sunfold’s new album, “toy tugboats” released this last tuesday the 22nd. sunfold released a split, “wet zoo” with sister band annuals a few months ago. here is a brief overview of sunfold:
“This is the new name for Annuals’ sister project formerly named Sedona. Due to some trademark issues, the change had to be made. Consisting of all the members of Annuals (Canvasback Records), Sunfold is a musical endeavor headed by vocalist/guitarist Kenny Florence. Many people have asked why the band should be two instead of just one band with two songwriters. However, after hearing the gigantic difference in musical aesthetic between the two, the reason becomes apparent. While sharing many of the same influences and ultimately the same vision of creating captivating, original music, Adam Baker (Annuals frontman) and Kenny Florence have chosen different paths to the apex…”
