do you want to see dillinger escape plan and nine inch nails performing on the same stage?
March 4, 2009

of course you do. the answer is of course.
here is an hd video of ben and greg from dillinger performing “wish” with nine inch nails on the last nine inch nails tour in the history of the world. you heard that right, this is the last nine inch nails tour. unless of course trent comes out of retirement at some point, which is all that we can hope for.
trent reznor gives us a gift
January 7, 2009

trent reznor gave fans a gift today on the nine inch nails blog. over 400gb of raw, unedited hd footage from their “lights in the sky tour” and the challenge for fans to make their own tour video.
trent had this to say:
The internet is full of surprises these days.
I was contacted by a mysterious, shadowy group of subversives who SOMEHOW managed to film a substantial amount (over 400 GB!) of raw, unedited HD footage from three separate complete shows of our Lights in the Sky tour. Security must have been lacking at these shows because the quality of the footage is excellent. If any of you could find a LINK to that footage I’ll bet some enterprising fans could assemble something pretty cool.
Oh yeah, you didn’t hear this from me.
here is a link to the nin forums with more info.
here are the links to the footage. happy creating.
thanks to taylor for the heads up on this one.

new nine inch nails! ghosts I-IV
March 3, 2008

ghosts I-IV is a 36 track instrumental album.
trent reznor explains, “I’ve been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn’t have made sense until this point. This collection of music is the result of working from a very visual perspective – dressing imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams. I’m very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference. I hope you enjoy the first four volumes of Ghosts.”
it was first available from nin’s website as a download, but they underestimated the response and it caused their site to crash.
while they are beefing up their servers you can get it from amazon here. amazon is made to withstand the traffic so go nuts. they have all 36 tracks for $5. it’s simple to download, it walks you through the process.
once the nin site is better supported you can choose the following:
the first 9 tracks for free -or-
all 36 tracks as a download for $5 -or-
(all physical forms include immediate downloadable version)
$10 2 cd set shipped april 8th -or-
$75 deluxe edition package -or-
$300 ultra-deluxe limited edition package (limited to 2500 signed and numbered by trent reznor).
details about each and to order from the nin site here
i have it, but haven’t listened to all of it yet. i’ll let you know what i think when i do.
