queue up lads and lasses, let’s all detest mtv together

so my girlfriend taylor was watching mtv and they have this horrible habit of overplaying songs from different artists in the background of their commercials. their intentions are admirable, they are trying to promote various bands. but the way that they go about it does more harm than good. this is the reason i never listen to the radio. they just play the same songs over and over. it gets old.
this particular time they were playing a certain artist called m.i.a. they were playing the same portion of the same live song. they were making it sound obnoxious, so i just tuned it out.
taylor recently bought m.i.a.’s album “kala,” the album they were promoting. i listened to it and it is really good which made me mad at mtv. they almost ruined a great album for me. mtv has just lost all credibility.
long story short… mtv= bad, m.i.a.=good
m.i.a. is a british singer/song writer/ rapper/ producer/ painter. she mixes hip hop, ragga, dancehall, electro, and baile funk, with a very prominent cultural theme having grown up in sri lanka.
