this is not a very spectacular comeback of my “new releases” posts, but it’s decent. IAMX is definitely worth your time and money, and the rest are good as well. I can’t really speak for the tori amos though, i like some of her older stuff, but i haven’t heard this whole album yet so i’m not comfortable fully endorsing it.
hopefully this is the first of many more “new release” posts to come, and hopefully the releases will get better. i know of one that will top all of these… THE MARS VOLTA- OCTAHEDRON due out june 23rd!! can’t wait.

the new album from former sneaker pimps front man chris corner a.k.a. IAMX will be titled kingdom of welcome addiction and will hit the streets may 19th.
chris is offering one song “think of england” as a free download. if “think of england” is any indication of what’s to come, this album will be amazing.

IAMX is touring europe right now, but will be in the states in june for a few dates. chris is a true performer, in all aspects, be sure to check out the live show if you can.

new IAMX song, “think of england”

the always fabulous IAMX, former sneaker pimps frontman, has released a new single; a taste of his upcoming new album (no date or title yet). the new song, “think of england” is a very powerful song. this song is a composite of the same great formula chris has always used, but more epic. his slow, seductive songs have wonderful draw, but songs like “think of england” evoke a passion on a par with all of the air leaving your lungs and your stomach dropping when you get that stroke of inspiration and impulsiveness to do something you didn’t even know you were capable of. this song brings to mind some of the better moby songs and vast as well.
