directed by Allison Schulnik. grizzly bear had originally sent a few of their songs to director allison’s short film, “hobo clown.” they later asked if she would create an official video for a song from their newest album, veckatimest. this is the result.

grizzly bear has released a new video from their upcoming album veckatimest. the new video, “two weeks,” is bizarre and unexpected, yet beautiful and oddly mesmerizing. the cinematography and direction reminds me of the video for “black hole sun” by soundgarden.
veckatimest is streaming in its entirety on their myspace. be sure to buy it when it comes out this tuesday, may 26th.

grizzly bear’s upcoming album veckatimest, follow up to 2006 release yellow house, is due out may 26. veckatimest gets its name from a small uninhabited island off the massachusetts coast. all i can say is that it’s about time. it seems like i’ve been waiting on this forever.
here is grizzly bear playing “two weeks” on letterman from a while back.
grizzly bear will also be at bonnaroo on june 11th.

last night grizzly bear performed a new song “two weeks” on the late show with david letterman. it’s a beautiful song, i’m excited for more.

grizzly bear will perform on the late late show with craig ferguson. it will air on tv on march sixth. if you’re in the la area get tickets and go see them. they might play a new song.
craig ferguson is on cbs at 12:35 et/pt.
craig ferguson used to play “mr. wick” on the drew carey show. he is hilarious. if you’ve never seen him or his show you’re missing out.
