radiohead performed “15 step” from their latest album in rainbows with the usc trojan marching band last night at the grammys. radiohead won a grammy for “best alternative music album” for in rainbows. best album and song of the year went to coldplay for viva la vida. viva la vida paled in comparison to in rainbows and a ton of other great albums that came out last year. but it’s ok because the grammys don’t matter anyway. it’s all just a popularity contest; like prom for grown-ups.

this song is from the upcoming album, “viva la vida,” due out june 17th. the album is available for pre-order on itunes. along with your pre-order you get an acoustic version of “lovers in japan” immediately. the single “viva la vida” is also available.

love the song, it has kind of a phil collins vibe to it. the video is very odd and quirky. didn’t tool do the whole magnifying glass to the mouth thing on undertow? i’m not sure what the art direction was supposed to be for this video. i liked watching chris’ lanky ass stumble through the snow. i like this song a lot better than “viva la vida,” but the album sounds promising, can’t wait.
