with a less than conventional “new releases” post I am singling out the new architects album hollow crown, out tomorrow. metalcore mercenaries from brighton (uk) bring us an intense follow up to their ‘06 release nightmares and their ‘07 release ruin. hollow crown proves that metalcore/hardcore is not dead, but that it’s darwinian survival to the fullest; the weak will be split from the herd and eaten, and only the strong will endure.
architects are graciously streaming most of hollow crown on their myspace. so you can go have a listen, however unnecessary it is. this is a solid album that can be bought on pure rep alone.
also lilly allen has a new album out tomorrow it’s not me it’s you.
the lonely island featuring the immensely creative and hilarious andy samburg of snl are releasing their album incredibad tomorrow.
and last but not least the soundtrack from the movie o’horten composed by the brilliant john kaada. kaada is probably best know here in the states for his album romances that he made with the genius that is mike patton.
