some may, some may not. well if you’re game they’re streaming it on their myspace right now! i’m listening to it as i type this. i haven’t given up on them because of “crimson.” i’ve already heard a couple songs that they had posted, “help me” and “in vein,” and they sounded promising. so being very optimistic i am giving them a fighting chance.
when “over and out” picked up after its bass heavy intro, it made me smile. i think every thing’s going to be ok. i’ll give you my official summation after i’m through listening to it.

new single from upcoming alkaline trio album

alkaline trio have another new single on their myspace page, called “help me.” the singles come from their upcoming album “agony and irony” available july 1st.
“help me” is a decent track, i liked “in vein” better, which was on their page a couple days ago, but they took it down. they’re putting up singles one at a time, but i’m not sure how many they’re going to do.
even after their last album “crimson,” i’m still maintaining an optimistic attitude for “agony and irony.” i’ve been an alkaline trio fan for years and i’m not ready to give up on them. so come on guys, don’t disappoint me.
alkaline trio has posted a new song on their myspace for the next 24 hours. the new album, “agony and irony” is out july 1st.
the song is called “in vein.” and frankly i’m impressed. it sounds promising… and dare i say even a little ska at times. it didn’t require an acquired taste like their crimson album. it’s not quite old skool alkaline trio, but it’s definitely digestible, no after dinner bile with this track.
they said to stay tuned to their myspace because they will be posting another song soon. so go check out “in vein” before it’s gone!!
